there must be a reason for me being anonymous, rite? hehe.. actually, there's just a simple reason :p. the reason is............ *drum roll* i don't want anybody to be able to google me and find out who i am, what i'm thinking, what makes me tick without even knowing me. simply put, imagine this. in the future...
- begin scenario -
me : "hi tina" (just a random name i picked)
tina : "oh hi!"
.... (somehow, i managed to ask her for a date).
me : "see u tomorrow tina :)"
tina : "see u!!"
- tina at home -
tina : "hmm, let me check who this guy is."
tina clicks on google.com and search for my name. pop comes my blog and she spends the whole nite reading 'em.
- tina at date -
me : "hi tina, missed u :">"
tina : "oh, hi ryuu x-( !"
me : "huh? how did u know?"
tina : "you #*(^*&^@#*&%$(()!$*(#^*(@^#*(@^*(#&^@!. i didn't know u hate cats! i hate u! go away!"
- end scenario -
disclaimer : no cats nor ryuu were harmed in this scenario
pretty lame, but it sums things up. one thing, dates ain't gonna be fun anymore. second thing, i don't like people to check on my history. that's supposed to be private. for friends, oh yeah, no problem, we can share our daily lives together. it's meant for friends to keep in touch with each other, to know what each other is doing, but i don't want this blog thing to backfire and be used against me in the future. the above scenario is extreme, purposely done so, but it sums up the idea well.
imagine if somebody in his blog complained a lot about his previous company and this new company interviewer that interviewed him is smart enough to use google and found his blog. i know you would debate that if these kind of person exists, he shouldn't even get a job in the first place. but frankly u won't know what he went through in the old company. the fact that the old company is screwing him won't be taken seriously anyway. the new up n' coming boss' impression is that this guy flamed his company. so he gets booted out without even a chance at performing. who knows it's his dream job and he would've loved the company.
that's just certain scenarios but the whole point is i don't want to make it too easy for people to find out about me. probably some of u bloggers would debate against my point, but again that's *my* point, rite? :) i respect your opinions so i do hope u respect mine, no matter how absurd it sounds.
come to think of it, bart, i think i changed my mind .
