what a chicken shit i am. if you read my previous post about me working in office, well check this one out about what happens *afterwards*. yes, it's a bliss having office keys, being able to come in and out whenever you want, but that comes with another "privilege" - tonnes of "opportunities" of being alone in the office.
i stayed alone in my apts for 6 whole months when i first moved in. my 2 neighbours who usually ate supper with me (both girls) complained of strange noises outside our corridor at the middle of the night, and they were so freaked out this one time in my apts when we were playing a chinese version of Monopoly (gosh, i love that game, any kinds of version, i'd take it on) when they suddenly heard some strange noises. i said it was wind, they said it was "something". i said i'd open the door, and they dared me. and so i opened it. hearts beating, hands sweating, cold sweat streaming down and hairs at the back of my hair standing, i faked my courage and opened the door, expecting to see something, and voila! ...... nothing.
it's nothing but wind. our corridors are kind of narrow, so at night when wind is blowing, the steel gate on each apts will rattle. one of my theories. hehe. it's physics anyway. my neighbours has since moved out, whether because of this or something else, i don't know. to think i stayed there alone for the first 6 months, and another 3 months when my ex housemate moved out... you'd think i'm brave as tiger....... but i tell u, i'm chicken shit when it comes to these things.
back to the office, on sunday, after typing the post, and working for another few hours, i was prepared to go home. and so i walked to the pantry, got some water to drink, and then proceeded to the toilet. i pulled the door, and then the door was pushed forward by someone inside, who was obviously, coming out. i was prepared to say "sorry" when suddenly i remembered... SHIT, i'm *alone* in the office!!! who could've been in the toilet?
my chicken shit self took over, and i off-ed the toilet light (which was outside), shut down my computer, off all the lights in the office, went out, locked the door, and outside it looked dark. i looked at my handphone and it said 7pm. i thought to myself... "cannot be wat....so early.. which nocturnal being would come out so early??". i thought again.
oh yeah, the door has a mechanical suspension they have to keep it quiet and un-slammable.
