it feels nice to be back online, even though i do think that i'm more productive offline than online. without internet, there wasn't much things to do other than.. yup, u guessed it... work! i must discipline myself more!!
things hasn't been too bad around here. things are pretty much glum in the office, with so few people around. there're projects that can be considered prospects, but all those are at either specs or proposal level, which only means one thing : paperwork. yes, people, let's say it together! eek! say it again! eek! say it louder! EEK! (actually, i'm getting the hang of the paperwork stuff, although i used to hate it. this is probably what you call maturity)
internet has been down for several days, coz of the short sightedness of a resigning director who terminated our broadband access. since we're going to stay in this building for at least 2 more months, i think terminating the broadband access was a bad choice. anyhow, i convinced the remaining boss to resubscribe to the service, and voila! here i am again. i vow not to succumb to the evils of the Internet!! not after that i found out i'm more productive offline!
s@lsa yesterday was great! this friend of mine from japan, a natural-born dancer, is going back to japan end of march. very very sad =(. i don't think i'd ever dance with anybody as wonderful as her again. i have never danced with anybody so .. easy to dance with! it's just so easy to dance with her, it feels so perfect. i guess my improvement in s@lsa is partly (or probably mostly) attributed to my dancing with her ever so often. when she progresses (happens very often), i progress along too. probably vice versa, but we never know, don't we ;). the day she leave will be one of the saddest day of my life. i hope to dance with her again in the future. *sigh*
on a brighter note, i just received a call from my credit card provider. they've decided to give me a 75% discount on my subscription fee this year, which effectively reduces it from RM 160 to RM 40. hurrah! plus they're giving me some crap voucher thingy that i'm supposed to scratch and probably win some cash or bonus link points. i'm sure it'd be bonus link points. never cash. oh well, it's better than nothing. hurrah!
