i have never seen somebody so disillusioned before. i mean, of a person with capabilities and experience, and currently thinking of working in oil rigs? hmmm. is that really a way to escape from everything? the pay is good, but is it really worth it? hmmmmm. but i digress...
friday nite!
on friday nite i went to this nice little place called little havana. reached there a bit late, a bit after 11pm. started to dance and then i realized that there was a familiar face among the crowds. further check shows that she's my junior in university. one year junior. oh no, got spotted by somebody i knew. damn :p.
and also, i was looking at this guy dancing, really good dancer. my friend told me he's from colombia, and i told my friend that he dances really good. was thinking that i probably could learn a thing or two from him. a little while after that, after i finished dancing with a friend, he came over to me and offered a handshake. wat the... ? i was flabbergasted.. and then he told me we met before. where? in taiwan!!! hehe. he said i got a bad memory. which is true since i can't even remember the club i went to when i saw him and the band. he's with the band fuego latino that played in sean's irish pub when i was at taiwan, also on a friday nite. they even dedicated a s@lsa song to me on saturday nite (i went there again the next day). no wonder he looked familiar.... they're here for a vacation (too bad, i wanted to listen to their music) and only until end of this month. damn. i want to hear them play!!!
on another note, i find it quite difficult to handle compliments, probably because i'm shy or i don't think i deserve those compliments at all. or maybe i always suspect that compliments are actually disguised flattery to make you like the person who complimented you.
but when there is too much of the compliments coming your way.... you began to get suspicious... very suspicious... and you begin to think, do you really deserve it? do you really have the talent? are those compliments actually compliments and not flattery at all?
