ok although a lot of people think i'm a hardware geek, i am the total opposite. the things i know about computer hardwares are all through reading up (yes i used to love reading all those stuffs, but only to argue with those techies in my technical discussion forum during uni time). god knows how i managed to con those people into thinking i'm a hardware geek, when i'm totally not. i didn't intend it to be like that though. at that time i need to know about this to keep the discussion forum going, you know.. it's boring if people post out problems or discussions and there's nobody to continue discussing or retort or being a pain in the ass like me.
the only upgrade i've ever freaking done to my trustworthy @cer PII 355 MHz is the *much-needed* memory upgrade from 32 MB to 64 MB after a year and later 64 MB to 128 MB.
and i've been using this PC for like.. what.. since 1999!
now is the latest upgrade. i've bought a cre@tive SB live 5.1! and yes, the speaker is still the lousy come-with-the-stupid-branded-pc speaker, but there is tremendous changes!
the sound is crispier! and it's much clearer! dammit, i should've known this rather than put up with the lousy muffled sound over the years. well, bought it at rm 50 so it's quite a bargain, i hope. to think it can actually sound crispier and better with this freakin' lousy speakers, i wonder about the improvement that it will bring if i replace them with better speakers.
