in the news today, i read about this guy (in europe) that tried to commit suicide but his attempt was foiled by his neighbour. now, just before that he withdrew all his money from the bank and burned them. smart fella. now he's left penniless. the news also said that this guy has changed (not depressed anymore i guess) and looks forward to his penniless days.

wait. i thought it's an offence to burn cash as they're legal tender and you don't actually own them? shouldn't he look forward to his future days in jail instead?
