sometimes i can be inconsiderate too, without realizing. my willingness to stay back after work to.. er.. work (heh), and although it appears to be a good thing, it has consequences that .. were kind of inconsiderate.
because i stayed back to work, other unwilling employees who had families at home waiting for them to cook eat together etc etc had to stay back coz they need to have my feedback on things. it's some kind of unwritten rule, coz if they don't stay back, they will lose out.. or something like that. and today, because i was willing to stay back to solve some client's problem, one of his staff had to stay back with me coz she's the j@va developer.
and i was happily working away until she said "err.. actually i was already preparing to go back when u came in..."

don't misunderstand her, we're quite ok with each other that's why she can say that to me :)
but, back to the issue.. i could've waited until tomorrow (of course, at the customer's expense) to solve the problem, but i didn't want to coz i wanted to solve it there and then, so that (1) the client can sleep in peace (2) it's quite an urgent problem.. and important because it involves production data and (3) so that there is no work for me there tomorrow. (geez, i'm not like this in uni.... what a 180 degrees change..) and because i don't have kids waiting for me at home, i don't really think twice about staying back and work. but this got me thinking.
i'm such an asshole. and she just gave birth recently.. her hungry baby....
i ended up telling her she can go back and i'll finish her work for her.. that's the least i can do after being such an insensitive person...
so remember, the world doesn't revolve around u ;)
