doppelganger

today's story is about doppelganger. okay, not exactly doppelganger. he just has the same name as mine.

not the chinese name. the english one. the one which everybody in the s@lsa scene identifies me by.

i don't really mind having the same name as another person in the community, but when the person is a low-class puke, that is equivalent to having a nail in your aye-nus all the time.

and how did i find out? simple. one day, i was having teh tarik with some of the beginners. i was kinda spaced out, and the girls were caught in an animated conversation, which of course would be some kinda gossip. i'm not entirely interested in gossips, but i caught this girl saying, "u know, just now, i was saying 'wahhh, these people are so good at dancing, i wish i could be like them' in the party, and he (guess they were already gossiping about somebody) said 'they're not good at all. can't dance properly at all'. i mean, even if they're not experts, don't lah talk bad about other people, not like you are good also.. tell people that u learn for 2 years already, but still at that level"

i was like.. err.. who is that? the girl answered out my name. then pause. then continued, not you, the other person.

!!!

now, this is a problem because, the next time if they gossiped about him and then other people ask who it was, they'll probably just blurt out the name and might not bother clarifying which one it is. and it's not like everyone know there is 2 such person with that name around. wat the hell.

ok, that conversation took place like 3 months ago. last weekend, a girl was telling me that she received an sms which she *thought* was from me (which is actually the other guy but she saved his name with the extension " s@lsa".. and u know lah, sometimes people forget). the sms was something to this effect "hi pretty lady, i have to imagine you dancing in front of me so that i can dance".

WHAT THE HELL!!!!! that's it. i'm done for. there goes my reputation. bye bye everybody. my reputation is down the hill, down the drain, down the freakin' 10-km valley. and she actually thought the sms was from ME! for 2 whole months!!!

*waves goodbye*

p.s. maybe i should learn from my prank-ed experience and put his number on #kls3x channel on IRC
