in bombay

hi peeps! yup, that's rite, i'm in bombay.

had to take a 2hr flight from bangalore to reach bombay. at the airport, domestic departure section, i had to undergo this "frisking" thingy. looked at my boarding pass, and it said "checking of baggage and frisking is mandatory for all passengers.. please cooperate".

gosh. everybody seemed to be nice to me, the guard that helpfully told me i still have lots of time and i can go eat something when i looked undecided whether to go to the boarding area or not, the officers scanning my luggage, but this particular officer who's supposed to frisk me, is freaky. just before my turn, i noticed the frisking procedure. the officer will scan the person with a kind of device, that's used to look for concealed weapons, then after that the officer will touch the pockets and back pockets of the person

officer : *gestures for me to pull my arms apart so that he can "scan" me*
me : i got my handphone here, keys here, and wallet here
officer : anything else you got?
me : nope, nothing else
officer : are you sure?
me : *doubts* yeah, sure
officer : *smiles* you don't have a heart?
me : err, that, i have *yoda moment*
officer : are you married? *starts touching my keys and handphones*
me : err, no
officer : have any girlfriends?
me : (WHAT?!??! WHAT QUESTION IS THAT?!?!?) err, *pause* yeah
officer : how many?
me : (WTF?!?!?) one, hehe. thanks sir

*runs off*

ok. that's freaky.

a bit tired, will be quick. random things i saw in bombay:
i) cows (nuff said)
ii) squatter houses.. i hope the guest house is in better condition than those...
iii) dirty roads
iv) lots of cars
v) poverty
vi) dirt everywhere

way different than kl. hmm. gina, tell me, what did your friend find so interesting in india that she doesn't mind coming back? i mean, i don't mind coming back, but i don't think i'd make much effort, unless if i'm visiting friends.. i'd rather go to places like europe (read: venice, rome, athens), east asia (japan, korea, taiwan), US, australia...

hmm. probably it's just because i'm so busy i haven't had the time to see the better part of india yet...
