we got "most promising couple". hmmmm. good enough i guess. the latin dancers were really good, as if they've practised for months! oh, did i mention it's a latin open competition? latin means it's all latin stuffs, not only s@lsa. basically for the social dancing part (40%) you also may need to do cha cha, paso double (is that how it's spelled?), rumba, tango (shock and horror!), mambo, s@lsa etc etc. it's random and you won't know what u're getting. yesterday there were 7 types! nearly died.
open means it's open for all. yup, that includes people who've received money for teaching dances before, and who received money for performances before. in fact there were a few pros and instructors in the competition yesterday..
the 2nd and 3rd couple were latin dancers. they can't do much s@lsa but their latin dance were superb! not much crowd interaction because it's latin, i guess that's why they got 2nd and 3rd.
the 1st couple were the crowd favourites! they do s@lsa and they have lots of stunts!
anyways, at least we won something :D. i thought we wouldn't have gotten anything coz i made so many mistakes!
