BKK, arrival 21/05 9.45am, departure 28/05 4.30pm

i went to bangkok.

no, i didn't go there for leisure, and i didn't update the blog because i was too busy with the kok kok kehs, but BECAUSE i'm caught up with work UNTIL i couldn't even use my newly bought goggles.

sob sob.

anyways.

lessons from bangkok:
i) if u're a foreigner in bangkok, everybody assumes u're looking for a hole. not the one in the ground. yes, even the old be-spectacled shaggy looking non shaggable business partner from good ol' KL thinks like that. maybe that's why.
ii) ask for the price first before u take a tuk tuk. if not u'll get slaughtered (not literally). me and my colleague turned down a comfy cab ride because he didn't want to use the meter, instead he wanted to charge us a flat rate of 100 baht. we got a tuk tuk, and upon reaching the destination, the tuk tuk fella said, 200 baht. i said, you're crazy. after much haggling, we gave him 100 baht. PUI. shouldn've taken the cab instead.
iii) if u're a guy and u ask for directions from a girl with a male voice, don't do the normal thank you gesture by putting your hand up. he'll grab your hand for god knows what reason. eww.
iv) everybody assumes u're looking for a hole. oh, did i mention that already?
v) the same taxi rule applies. don't take the ones parked on the road. they charge flat rate.
vi) the cab boy for the hotel, although looking innocent, knows where the best places for the kok kok kehs, and will push the information to you no matter how u said u don't want it. i guess he thinks he's being helpful.
vii) so many SPGs around.
viii) so many pretty girls around. err, if they're actually girls.
ix) WE ARE HERE FOR WORK GODDAMMIT

sheesh.
