anyway, am currently back in des moines from north carolina. things are going pretty well, and the weather's great! it's spring time, the temperature's just right, and the scenery's just drop dead breathtaking when u go out for a run. minus the bird shit smell, everything is presto excellante.
will be here for a week, then head off to new york for a week, then back here for about 2 weeks before heading to KL. gosh, that's a load of miles i can rack up for my asiamiles account, if only i can be bothered to go thru the hassle of asking the personnels to add my asiamiles account number to my boarding pass. gah.
a note to those who rents car overseas and you don't get the damage waiver, please check for dents, scratches, chips, broken tail lights, etc before u take a car. i've had this guy who brought me to the car, checked the "no damage" on the rent ticket and asked me to sign, then brought me around the car and said, everything ok and handed me the keys. if i had not looked carefully, i wouldn't have caught the 15 damages around the car that i found, that they probably would've charged the company for. and he even left out a chip that i found in front of the car! what an idiot.
luckily not all the reps are like that. just be careful when u rent cars without the damage waiver.
